| Who We Are The Seaway Great Lakes Trade Association (SGLTA) is a U.S. Great Lakes-based advocacy organization devoted to the effective and responsible use of the St. Lawrence Seaway-Great Lakes transportation system. Our Goal The goal of the SGLTA is to ensure the continued operation of, and access to, this vital economic resource. Our efforts will ensure competitive freight rates while drastically reducing congestion and delays. Issues The Seaway system is currently facing very significant economic and environmental challenges. As a stakeholders group for the seaway commercial beneficiaries, our mission is to address these challenges and ultimately advocate for a reasonable and viable solution. |
